Check CoastCare, on your terms

Ways to get care

Telehealth, when it fits your care.

Telehealth lets you connect with a clinician remotely for services that are appropriate for a virtual visit. It does not replace testing, an exam, or in-person treatment when those are needed.

01

What a virtual visit can involve

A telehealth appointment may include a private conversation, review of your concerns, and care planning. Whether a service can be completed online depends on the clinical situation and applicable requirements.

02

When you may need an in-person step

Testing, specimen collection, a physical exam, a procedure, or medication access may require an in-person visit or pharmacy. The care team can explain what to expect before you schedule.

03

Availability and fees

Service availability, appointment fees, and follow-up vary. Telehealth coverage and access may depend on your location, insurance, and the service. Ask Check Coast to confirm current details.

Common questions

A little more clarity.

Can all Check Coast services be handled remotely?

No. Some services or steps may require testing, an exam, or in-person care. A clinician will explain the right format for your needs.

Can I get PEP through telehealth?

If a possible exposure occurred, seek care immediately. Availability depends on whether a clinician can evaluate you and how quickly medication is accessible. If you cannot get immediate care, go to an emergency department or urgent care that provides PEP.
